Vintage Three Wise Men - Quilt Wall Hanging - Woven Metallic Thread - Talcrafts. Simply stunning quilted wall hanging made in Canada by Talcrafts of Toronto.
The front is a woven linen - the design appears to be woven into the material rather than printed, it has a soft watercolor look to it. It is quilted around the design in eye-catching gold metallic thread. It is raised in many areas giving it depth or 3D look to it.
The edges are finished with ribbon and there are 6 hanging tabs that could loop over a dowel, etc. The back is nicely finished in a Gold Cotton material.
Gorgeous piece for a living room, dining room, office, or even bedroom. It appears to be a handmade item by an artisanal shop, rather than mass-produced. Looks like a Ancient Tapestry. The art is from around the 12th Century I believe. Could be just a image of court yard and some New King or Queen. Made in the 1960's, but not sure as not dated.
Again, this is not a cheap mass produced product. Pictures do not do justice... Measurements: 48" long x 24.5" tall. Tab pockets are 2 1/2 long.
Condition: Perfect - no tears, stains, odors, etc. It is stamped on the back "Original Talcrafts of Toronto Made in Canada". I believe in WYSIWYG - what you see is what you will get.
