Rare Vintage Marion V Dorn Christmas Angel Banners Display Art Deco Wallpaper
Fantastic pair of rare Christmas banners designed by Marion Victoria Dorn, famous for her textile, rug and wallpaper designs. These are great for Christmas and are meant to be a pair, center medallion and only one is signed. Banners are heavy paper on linen backing and measure 59" x 26". Each have a wrapped cord at the top, the gold wrap on one cord is unraveling as pictured. These do exhibit creases and the edges are worn and frayed but still display wonderfully.
There is extensive information about Marion Dorn online, Edward Fields designed many rugs after her designs. These were probably created somewhere in the 40's or 50's.
