Antique Pewter Plate Hand Tooled Repouse Angels in the Clouds 17th-18th Century. Approximately 11 1/2" diameter x 1 3/4" deep with rolled rim, S tooled 1 border, Two Repouse Angels leaning on clouds with hand stamped background and border. Layout scribed ring, utensil marks, dents and dings. All item expected from use on old pewter. Wall ring soldered on rear. Plate has been reinforced or repaired which is why the original marks are obliterated. There is at least two (2) obliterated touch marks and other impressed numerals, initials and scribed test marks, etc on the rear. I see a partial round mark with N ENGL___ _SCH__. Also partial lion or sphinx bearing a banner or flag. Don't have magnifier to make more sense of things.
