RED RIVER MOTEL -1 Of A Kind- Lemax Spooky Town -Retired Enhanced LED Building

The Iast lighted photos are of the building AS IT CAME FROM THE LEMAX FACTORY so that you can see the difference. The photos do not give a good representation for how this will look in person. This building has been retired for years & has become scarce. This has been reflected in the steady price increase that Spooky Town collectors are seeing.

This piece is Lemax's version of The Bate's Motel from the cult classic movie "Psycho". But, THIS particular building has been enhanced to make it a 1 of a kind standout piece.

In my opinion, the lighting from the factory was very dull, much too dark & totally uninspiring to be a likeness of The Bate's Motel. It deserves a better presentation than what the designers at Lemax gave it. This piece just HAD TO HAVE better lighting. So, as I have done to many different Spooky Town pieces now, I decided to make this building live up to a much higher level of appreciation, just as it should have been coming from the Lemax factory. I have swapped out the original LED's with different color LED's & I have also added some lighting - most notably to the motel sign that's out front on the pole.

Originally, this motel sign was a solid sign insufficiently lit by UV purple lights that were located on the ground. It is now hollow & lit from the INTERIOR of the sign by an LED that slowly changes colors - 6 different colors to be exact. Red, green, blue, purple, yellow/green & silver/blue.

This gives a dramatic effect & look to the entire piece. But I didn't stop there.

The entire upper half of this building came from the factory with ZERO lighting. You would think that the good people at Lemax would have at least illuminated the large motel sign on the roof. They didn't - but I did. The motel sign on the roof is now back lit with 2 soft white LED's, while the roof & the front of that sign are lit with brite blue LED's. Look at the before & after photos & I think you will agree with me that the enhancements I've incorporated make this piece stand out & pop. This is now a building that catches your attention & demands a very prominent placement in your Spooky Town Halloween display. This is truly a 1 of a kind Red River Motel that will not disappoint. Rest assured that the LED's I have used are the exact same LED's that Lemax uses on all of their LED lit pieces & will function for many years of usage. Comes with picture box (has wear but in good condition), styrofoam enclosure, genuine Lemax power adapter, elastic pulling strap & instruction sheet.
